In conjunction with the FCJHS librarian, Vivian Sisk,  the WITS (Writers in the Schools) team visited the middle school this year and conducted a two-day workshop with the school's English classes. According to instructors, Ta'Kyra Brittnum, TaJuan Whitby and Davida Winfrey, the students enjoyed the workshop and were really engaged. Some students were even published in the annual WITS anthology. The WITS team gifted each published poet one copy of the anthology.
